Mellan tall och tystnad

July 2026

Mellan tall och tystnad is a quiet Swedish folk album born from my conversations with the forest. I enter the trees carrying the noise of the modern world: fear, exhaustion, anger, unanswered questions and the constant pressure to keep moving. What I find there is not escape, but perspective.

Across thirteen songs, I reflect on war and peace, meaningful work, forgotten books, freedom, nature’s gifts, the patience of old trees and the healing power of doing nothing at all. The forest never offers grand solutions. Sometimes it answers with a simple thought, sometimes with dry humour, and sometimes only with wind, water or silence.

Acoustic guitars, restrained strings, warm folk textures and natural sounds create a spacious, intimate atmosphere. Each song becomes part of a slow journey away from urgency and towards presence, humility and connection.

At its heart, the album rests on one quiet realisation: the forest wants nothing from me. And because it asks for nothing, I am finally free to simply be.

I turn away from screens, meetings and work that has lost its meaning. By placing my hands in soil, wood and everyday labour, I find an answer that feels real, tangible and alive.

I wonder where the poets, thinkers and quiet voices have gone. Beneath the old trees, I realise that depth has not disappeared; it has only become harder to hear beneath the noise.

  7. 7. Bibliotek bland rötter 4:22 9 listens
    Artwork for Bibliotek bland rötter

I mourn the fading world of printed books, worn pages and stories held in the hand. Among the roots, I imagine a forest library where words, nature and silence can belong together.

  8. 8. Motgift mot bruset 5:29 13 listens
    Artwork for Motgift mot bruset

I arrive exhausted by screens, headlines, arguments and endless demands for attention. The forest becomes my antidote, slowly returning me to my breath, my body and my own thoughts.

  9. 9. Blåbär i morgondimma 5:03 14 listens
    Artwork for Blåbär i morgondimma

I walk through the morning mist and gather berries, mushrooms and herbs with gratitude. The forest teaches me that its gifts are not possessions, but part of a balance between taking, giving and caring.

  10. 10. Rök över mossan 6:27 10 listens
    Artwork for Rök över mossan

I sit beneath the trees with a glass of whisky and let its smoke mingle with the scent of moss and evening air. In its slow maturation, I recognise a kind of richness that cannot be hurried or bought.

  11. 11. Snön lär oss om frihet 5:43 12 listens
Artwork for Snön lär oss om frihet

I walk through the winter forest and think about freedom, responsibility and the divisions between people. In the stillness of the snow, I understand that true freedom needs both open space and respect for others.

  12. 12. Utan fisk, utan brådska 6:13 13 listens
Artwork for Utan fisk, utan brådska

I spend a long summer evening on the lake without catching a single fish. With nothing to show for the day, I realise that I have received exactly what I needed: time, stillness and freedom from expectation.

  13. 13. Lasse hörde skogen 4:26 19 listens
    Artwork for Lasse hörde skogen

I watch my dog Lasse move through the forest with curiosity, trust and uncomplicated joy. Through him, I begin to sense a quiet order beyond doctrines and explanations, present in closeness, breath and everything that lives.
